There are several things you need to know about reading Web Thumper's drum transcriptions, besides having
a basic understanding of drumming and reading drum music.
Here are the key things you need to check out before you even start playing the transcription (move your

These are the most important things you should know about a drum part before you play it. Without this
information you have no idea of how fast (or slow) you should play...and in the time signature you'll
need to be able to count (most of the drum transcriptions are in 4/4 time, but several use different types
of odd time signatures).
Other important things are how to read repeating measures (this is new!). Notice that some of the measure above have
a solid line over them with a number (followed by an x) starting in the first corner of the solid line, this indicates
that the following measure(s) are to be repeated x number of times. Also notice that there are two dots in the
first measure of the repeating section and there are two more dots at the end of the last repeating measure.
In this example, these two measures are to be repeated 3 times.
In this example, a single measure is be repeated 4 times.
